What are SOPs ?

Standard operating procedures or SOPs refer to content that outlines the processes followed for a particular activity. For example you may have a SOP for obtaining planning CT, contouring, treatment planning, image verification and site specific plan quality assurance.

Each SOP content is created using a dedicated form and this form will guide you through the required details to be entered. It is  important to note that each of the SOP has the following information:

  1. Cancer site or sites that relate to the SOP. In certain scenarios this SOP may apply to multiple cancers. Hence it is allowed to select a single or multiple cancer site in this field.
  2. Equipment that is needed for the process. For example in case of a SOP that deals with treatment planning, a equipment field will be provided that allows you to select the TPS available. Please note that the list would be restricted to the equipment  that is available at your center.
  3. Age group may be present in some forms to capture details of the process seperately for adults and pediatric population.

Note : As the equipment list comes from the facility profile questionnaire it is important that the facility profile is completed before SOPs are added.

Note  that SOPs are only visible to members of SURAQSA.
